ReCHARGE PARK
CLIENT: Recharge Park
TYPE: Recreation
LOCATION: King of Prussia, PA
STATUS: Completed Spring 2026
The King of Prussia Business District approached the Stuart team to turn a previously underutilized lawn area into a multi-use park - their first true gathering space! The park rests along the Moore Park and First Avenue Linear Park trail system, creating a peaceful place to stop and recharge. The vacant parcel was originally planned for overflow parking in the early 90s, but now houses events for local business meet and greets, food truck and communal events, and intimate gatherings between friends and colleagues. The park offers outdoor work stations powered through solar energy, various seating opportunities from reused wind turbine swings to vibrant movable seating, and a zen rock garden for solemn contemplation. The sense of community and recharge is explored in the textured planting berm that creates a soft buffer along the roadway, the already present wildlife of local birds bouncing between the native trees and perennials, and the newly relocated Moore Park Beehive along the exposed aggregate trail. Rich hardscape textures contrast the softscape through blue gray boulders, the multi-colored aggregates peeping out through the main trail walkway, and the rippling concrete paver pattern of the social circle. From passing through via bike along the exposed aggregate concrete walkway or a rest in the colorful swings overlooking Valley Forge National Park, Recharge Park is calling you to visit and recharge your mind and body!
